01. On February 05, 2026, the GPK News website shared the Valentine's Day box advert, seen below, stating, "2026 Garbage Pail Kids Valentine’s Day coming next week, 2/12/26. Check out GPKNews for more info!". The same day, Topps added a GPK Valentine's trending-now image link to their GPK landing page, with the set title, '2026 Garbage Pail Kids Valentine's Day', that stated 'COMING SOON'. Once the trending-now image was clicked, it brought the consumer to the GPK Valentine's Day page (https://www.topps.com/pages/garbage-pail-kids-valentines-day) that showcased seven set images and stated, "Available February 12 at 2pm ET [NOTE: these posted at 3pm ET]. 2026 Garbage Pail Kids Valentine’s Day. Get ready for a party as we celebrate Valentine’s Day with the Garbage Pail Kids." A collector could also select a 'Get notified' button to enter their email address that stated, "Sign up to be notified of Garbage Pail Kids Valentine's Day. Available February 12 at 2pm ET. Email Address: XXXXXXX. Submit." and once submited, "Thanks for signing up! Be on the lookout for Garbage Pail Kids Valentine’s Day." [NOTE: a notification blast email was never received.] A 'Download checklist' button and link was also available that brought you to a PDF file and on February 12 the 'Odds' & sketch 'Artists' checklists were posted.



The 'About the release' section simply stated, "Collect the entire 50 card base set featuring some of your favorite Garbage Pail Kids getting ready to celebrate Valentine’s Day! Look for Artist sketch Cards, Collectible Inserts and Exclusive Parallels!", and the page asked, 'What are you chasing?' and listed the following categories — Foil Parallels: Various Numbered Parallels • Sketch Cards: 1/1 Sketches • GPK Comics: Short Comics • Black Heart Variations: SP [short print] Art Variations • C Name: C Name Variation. The page also containted a 'About the brand' section that simply stated, "The Garbage Pail Kids are here to celebrate the season of love. On February 05, 2026, artist JOE Simko took to social media to announce the set with his 'Spider DANE' mock-up card image, stating, "New Garbage Pail Kids art. Valentines set coming out next week." On the same day, artist MIKE Stephens also took to his social media channels to share his submission, stating, "I painted this little heartthrob for the upcoming GPK Valentines release. On February 06, 2026, artist NEIL Camera took to Facebook to post his JESS Express piece, stating, "Time to get on the love train with the all-new GPK Valentines Day set coming soon to Topps.com! Chugga chugga!" On February 09, 2026, the Topps Pop! social media page posted the five main mock-up card images, all with red 'frames' around the card border, announcing the release of the upcoming set, stating, "BE MINE! 2026 Garbage Pail Kids Valentine’s Day coming February 12th." As seen below, the first image had a large announcement plate for the set title over the bottom third of Spider DANE character.

On June 12, 2026, Topps dropped an unannounced GPK x Feid card, with artwork taken from the Colombian singer's new album cover, 'El Moco Verde' (The Green Booger; ®© 2026 Grabaciones Los Poderosos, Distributed by UMG Recordings, Inc.), with final line artwork reportedly created by Feid's sister, Manuela Villada Hoyos, who studies graphic design, and Juan Chospi, the colorist. Salomón Villada Hoyos, more commonly known as his stage name Feid or Ferxxo, is a songwriter and record producer that often blends reggaeton, Latin trap, and urban pop with Medellin cultural flavor into his music. The card image was advertised on their frontpage within the 'Just dropped' section and to it's own landing page. The same day, Topps shared a post, to their social media channels with ToppsPop and Feid, stating, "TOO TOUGH. Feid used GPK artwork for the cover of his latest mixtape, and now that same art is officially a trading card! The exclusive EL MOCO VERDE trading card is available now. Link in Stories."



On June 12, 2026, artist DAVID Gross took to his Facebook channel posting the tight sketch artwork, stating, "I designed the artwork for Colombian singer Feid's (otherwise known as Ferxxo) new mix tape cover art and a Garbage Pail Kids card by Topps. Just the pencil artwork. Not sure who or how the rest of the work was done since people have been asking. From what I understand Feid is a MASSIVE GPK fan so props to him for that. Gross later posted to Instagram, the album artwork, stating, "New Garbage Pail Kids cover art I contributed to FEID’s new album El Mocho Verde (The Green Booger). I did the pencil art concept design and @juanchospi [Juan Chospi] did all the color work! You can also get a GPK card of this at Topps.com. Check out the new music by FEID on Spotify." Gross also responded to a post and mentioned, "I've seen a number of posts on Instagram crediting Juan Chospi as the artist. He is Feid's lead graphic artist so I think it's not AI but rather all computer rendering." NOTE: It may be Manuela Hoyos, Feid's sister.

On June 19, 2026, Gross responded back to a collector who mentioned that the musician concept chosen was too unknown/obscure for a GPK character; Gross offered some great background information and frame-of-reference on the matter, stating, "Here's the details on this one. Even though no one (including me!) knew who he was it turns out this guy is a megastar outstide the US. Like 15M followed on Insta, 8M on Spotify. He's a huge GPK fan and, like Green Day, was the one that sought out doing this. I actually drew this [concept] two years ago got what would have been I think a five card mini set. One thing or another didn't work out and it was shelved. He wanted to do GPK for his new album artwork and they pulled one of the roughs from the five or so we all did and it just happened to be mine. I assumed I would be painting it but like everyone else saw it just pop up all finished that day it came out. But of a surprise but I was already two years over this one. I've chatted with Feid's graphic designer and he's the one that did the color art. Seems like a nice guy. But in the end this was strictly a niche card for an album project and the target audience was stricktly his fans. So I would say if you one didn't really like it or want to buy it that's totally understandable." NOTE, the print run (PR:) was 5783.
