BASURITAS
(GARBAGE KIDS)

     The Basuritas series was released throughout Chile in 1999, though, an earlier Basuritas released in Chile does exist.  The Salo Co. manufactured the sticker album cards.  The set covers several cards of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th,  5th, 6th, and 8th U.S. series, not in any particular order plus some original artwork found in no other series.  The cards measure 2 1/4 X  2 3/4 inches, and are non-die cut stickers.  The Chile set is a direct reproduction of the US cards and have a great gloss finish with a new black border and banner.  The first GPK set to include 'chase' cards in the series. An older Chile set was released in the early 90's.

STICKER ALBUM

1. Card #71 "MARTIN P.Gado" (U.S. cards 322A "K.O.'d KARL" and 322B "Sparrin' WARREN") has a discolored card production like the German #100 "NORBERT Nahtzig" card.


2. The only GPK set with a Black Border around the card, reminiscent of the black and white border of the U.K. '92 set, and the later Argentina released "Basuritas and Monsters" red bordered sets.

3. Cards #'s 1 - 2 are the 2 Puzzle Pieces of the wrapper and sticker album.  The first original artwork used for a puzzle.


4. The series contains 96 Chase Cards or "Lamina Especial" (Special Sticker), the same card found in yellow, red, orange, and green colors.  These stickers are Die-Cut.  There are several special sticker characters not found in the basic set.


5. The series uses various cards from the 1st, 2nd , 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 8th U.S. series.  And, there are 32 Original Artwork pieces (much like the Italy Sgorbions Legend series) that number from 111 - 142 in the set.


6. The set contains an Edited Correction.  #144 "ANDRES Cupido", The arrow with heart and angel wings are erased and replaced with bat wings, fangs and a puff of air for the Chile card.  U.S. cards 309A "Heartless HAL" and 309B "BOWEN Arrow".


7. The set contains another Edited Correction.  #150 "RICOME Mocos", The finger coming out of the top of the head is edited out in the Chile card.  U.S. cards 293A "Explorin' NORMAN" and 293B "Drillin' DYLAN".


8. The Banner-Style Header is new for this series, reminiscent of 10th - 15th US series.
